Running and cleaning the cat water fountain is very easy
Running it is almost as simple as a normal water bowl: change the fountain's water every few days and run it through the dishwasher at least once a month. Clean the pump separately by clearing away hair and buildup — an ordinary small brush works well for this.
You can simply lift the 3 towers out from the top and set them back in. If your cat tries to push the towers over from the side, they barely budge. The towers are open at the bottom, so the inside gets clean in the dishwasher too.
Note: the fountain is dishwasher-safe, but that only applies to the ceramic parts.

By far the most common complaint about conventional cat water fountains is that owners find the pump too loud. So we worked with engineers from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne to develop a new pump system that combines 3 innovations at once.
How does the quiet pump system work?
- Instead of resting on the bottom as usual, the pump hangs from the silicone tube and floats in the water. That means no vibrations transfer to the fountain, and no noise is created.
- Pumps get loud when the water level is too low and the pump starts drawing in air instead of water. So we designed a pump that draws water from below instead of from the side. That's why the fountain still works perfectly, without any noise, even at a water depth of just 3 mm.
- The pump sits inside the fountain's largest tower. Once that tower is in place, all 4 sides are fully enclosed and surrounded by 1.1 kg of sound-dampening ceramic.
Why does one fill-up last up to 10 days?
Most cat fountains need refilling on average every 3 to 5 days. With our fountain's 3.4-liter water capacity, you can travel for up to 10 days without needing to refill it.
Thanks to the new pump system, 100% of the water can be used. Conventional cat fountains always need a water level of at least 3–4 cm to keep their pump from breaking — once the level drops lower, those pumps start sucking in air, get loud, and break down within hours.
